March is over and April is here! Can you believe how fast that went!? After getting through such a huge book last month I want to get started on my backlog of smaller books I accumulated through March. These are the books on my April TBR:
YOU by Caroline Kepnes
When aspiring writer Guinevere Beck strides into the bookstore where Joe works, he is instantly smitten. But there’s more to Joe than Beck realises and much more to Beck than her perfect facade. And the obsessive relationship quickly spirals into a whirlwind of deadly consequences…
I have watched the Netflix adaptation of these a fair few times over. I really really enjoyed it so when I saw the book on Amazon for super cheap I couldn’t resist picking it up. This month I want to read the book and see if I like it as much as the show.
A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
Fall in love, break the curse.
Break the curse, save the kingdom.
This is a purchase I made based on the hype I had seen on social media. I have never read a fairytale retelling before so I thought I would try something new. Not to mention, the cover is STUNNING!
Children of Blood and Bone By Tomi Adeyemi
They killed my mother. They took our magic. They tried to bury us. Now we rise.
I read the synopsis for this book and I just fell in love with the idea behind the story. I got it as part of an Amazon deal, two for £7 so I picked it up along with A Curse So Dark and Lonely. The second book following this one (Children of Virtue and Vengeance) is to be released on December 3rd. I thought I would give this a read before the second one comes out.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
In the dark, filthy salt mines of Endovier, an eighteen-year-old girl is serving a life sentence. She is a trained assassin, the best of her kind, but she made a fatal mistake. She got caught…
During my time in the book community, I cannot count how many times I have heard people hype this series. I need to start it, I just do. I feel left out that I have not experienced the awesomeness of this epic fantasy story! It’s kind of daunting as the series is so long but I want to start it at least.
I hope to finish all of these and maybe more! If you want to see what I read last month you can read my March Wrap Up which will be coming soon! What books are on your April TBR?
