January 2020 TBR

Its the first day of a new year and a new decade! I have a few more weeks before I return to university for the second semester of my masters. Here is my January 2020 TBR!

Angel Mage by Garth Nix

More than a century has passed since Liliath crept into the empty sarcophagus of Saint Marguerite, fleeing the Fall of Ystara. But she emerges from her magical sleep still beautiful, looking no more than nineteen, and once again renews her single-minded quest to be united with her lover, Palleniel, the archangel of Ystara...

I got this book for myself as a birthday treat back in November and I still haven’t started it. It keeps catching my eye on my shelf though so in January I want to finally read it and see what it is all about!

City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

In this dazzling and long-awaited conclusion to the acclaimed Mortal Instruments series, Clary and her friends fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary’s own brother…

I discovered the immersive world of the Shadowhunters early this year and I am slowly but surely making my way through them all. This is the last instalment of the The Mortal Instruments and I have set myself a personal goal to get fully caught up this year!

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

They killed my mother. They took our magic. They tried to bury us. Now we rise...

This book has been on my TBR so many times and this month I am determined to actually reading it and finishing it. I’ve got the audiobook and a physical copy so I have absolutely no excuse to get this book read!

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Feyre is a huntress. She thinks nothing of slaughtering a wolf to capture its prey. But, like all mortals, she fears what lingers mercilessly beyond the forest. And she will learn that taking the life of a magical creature comes at a high price …

The last book on my January 2020 TBR my wonderful friend AstrumReader gifted me for Christmas! I have been eyeing up this series for a long time but never took the plunge to buy it. I have heard very interesting things about its contents so I am looking forward to trying this one.
